Picture yourself aboard the White Star Liner RMS Majestic at the turn of the century surrounded by the poshest of high society all being waited upon hand and foot by discreet well trained, well groomed, elite members of the restaurant staff, using the finest china, silverware, glassware and cutlery all laid out meticulously on embroidered damask table cloths. Dressed in your finery, little finger raised drinking your Earl Grey, Jazz music caressing your ears, this will have you reaching for your camera to share the experience with your friends and family.

Almost two centuries after The Duchess of Bedford dreamt up the fabulous idea of an Afternoon Tea, to satisfy her hunger between lunch and dinner, The Chart Room First Class Coffee Lounge has been keeping this typically English tradition well and truly alive.
The Chart Room First Class Coffee Lounge (in the beautiful fishing port of Brixham, in the heart of the English Riviera) is becoming the undisputed home of this most uplifting and fulfilling of rituals. Famous over the world for our unique Art Deco venue, The Chart Room takes you back in time to the opulence and splendour of early steamship travel.
The precisely-cut sandwiches, freshly baked cakes and unsurpassable scones make a visit to The Chart Room an unforgettable experience.

Children under 12 years of age are not permitted in the shop or lounge and we ask that you respect our “Smart Casual Dress Code”.

Enjoy your tea with a little background jazz music and relax, our talented Catering and Front of House team will do the rest, making your visit to the Chart Room a truly memorable experience.

Each gift voucher is individually created. Just order it online and we will be in touch to get the details from you to personalise. We will then post your bespoke gift to the recipient or to you to give personally. Your message should contain for whom the voucher is intended and the occasion ie. Birthday, Anniversary etc don’t forget to add your name and best wishes. The voucher will be printed of 120gsm laid paper and matching envelope and finished with our own wax seal, adding a little more excitement to the occasion.

RMS Majestic (II), at 56,551 tons, the largest ship the White Star Line ever owned, was originally called Bismarck and belonged to Germany’s, Hamburg American Line. Bismarck along with two sister ships, Imperator and Vaterland, were intended to rival White Star Line’s Olympic, Titanic and Britannic, and Cunard Lines Lusitania, Mauritania and Aquitania.
