Authentic Models High Quality reproduction Steamer Lamp
It is incredible that so many Admiralty lamps from the early 1900’s have survived. Many of them were refashioned into WW2 gear, when people were asked to turn in brass and aluminium heirlooms. Plots to bullets … using old and oft forgotten techniques, we have been able to bring back the in Sterling shapes of early hold and go down lamps.
Impressively large and practical, they were built to last.
Complete with stainless steel hanging wires and ceiling bracket.
Product description
Steamship deck lamp – Dimensions: diameter 34 cm, height 31 cm – You can see this lamp immediately that it was made in a classic workshop and does not come from a designer studio. It could almost be described as a result of the so-called steampunk culture: rugged yet very sentimental in expression. It was used at the time to illuminate the galleries, passages and corridors of the large steam ships and river steamers. It is made of brass sheet and solid aircraft aluminium. Cooling fins have been incorporated to better dissipate the resulting heat and to avoid burns. As these lamps are built, they easily survive centuries.
